INTERNS/VOLUNTEERS Sheikh Sina welcomes volunteers or interns who are interested in responsible tourism in South Sinai. Volunteers must speak English and/or German, have cross-cultural experience and be in good physical shape for hikes and treks. Volunteers are needed in the following areas: 1. Foster communication and understanding between tourists and Bedouin guides on the treks and trails.
2. Document the visitor’s trail experience using questionnaires and evaluate questionnaires upon return to base camp.
3. Assist in market research of European Tour Operators to widen the scope of responsible travelers to South Sinai.
4. Instruct and coach Bedouin Guides to lead English or German tours.
5. Serve as quality controller of the overall hike. |
Once the volunteer has arrived in Egypt, transportation, room and board will be covered. We request a minimum stay of 3 months.
