Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Bedouin led South Sinai excursions have been in existence for decades but have recently been growing in interest and number. With this expansion, the mark on the surrounding environment is taking its toll. We at Sheikh Sina are building on the existing industry with the aim of maintaining and improving current mountain circuits. By installing composting toilets, maintaining deep water wells, building eco-lodges, cleaning up trash and taking responsible measures with our own waste, we are doing our part to ensure the least possible impact on Sinai’s unique ecosystem.

Every trek or safari booked through Sheikh Sina will benefit the local community. We are also currently seeking out partnerships with various organizations in the region, such as the Foundation for South Sinai (CFSS), a group dedicated to strengthening local communities, creating opportunities and tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion.
